Why do we need to connect?
It is a question that we put to our mind when we began the project. Human being is a socials animal. We need interaction and communication in order to exchange what we have and what we do not have. Nowadays, the world is full of communication tools that connect people together, faster and easier than the part. Everything seems connected. The world of electronic communication reduces barriers of people. The world become smaller and smaller by high advance tools of communication. However, we had considered about advantages and disadvantages of this era and future world of communication.
Nowadays many tools seem to focus on interaction of people anywhere any time with no boundary. However, we think that tools that help family members have more time together while they also can interact with other outside family, would be a solution that may help people to use their precious and limit of time better.
Home is a place where people spend their domestic time. Home was combined with many types of rooms, amount of rooms, which varied from usage of members of the house. Each of the room has its own functioning and usages. For example, the dinning room is a room where all members spend time together and having males. Furthermore, the room become a place that members update there stories each of days of their life. Many conversations among members happen here in the dining room.
We would like to design tools that keep family together while they also can communicate with others. WE-LA is a table that has special functioning. It has a thin layers pad that similar to screen of computer but can be removable and can be connected together on the top of table. The top of table becomes place where all members can put their own electronic communication mobile note and exchange and interact to each other’s
The concept main inspiration is drawn from convivial occasions, while people are all sitting together around one table, sharing conversations as well as stories and memories. WE-LA, with its noticeable physical presence is meant to bridge the gap between people who are distant in space, yet wish to share moments together, communicate and, in general, be aware of each-other’s presence.

People are more and more familiar with using multiple devices to access Internet based contents. We_La is a table that has the quality and the function of an ambient device, and it combines its physical presence with an augmenting information layer. The main concept is drawn from convivial occasions, while people are all sitting together around one table, sharing conversations as well as stories and memories. We_La, with its noticeable physical presence is meant to bridge the gap between people who are distant in space, yet wish to share moments together, communicate and, in general, be aware of each other’s presence. The table active layer appear discretely and integrates with the table main structure, the surface is touch sensitive allowing for a gesture interaction. We_La enables the creation of a common space for interaction allowing users to work, communicate and socialize together despite their physical distance.

People in the world of technology will need balance between domestic and outside. This is THE TOOL that makes them do not need to make their choices. The product is a flexible monitor sheet. Our project can put on the top of the table. It can be use as the sheet of dinning table. But our product is different from normal table sheet, because our products can portable, roll and can be carrying where you likes similar to laptop, which is the computer on top of the table.
