Politics is nowadays far from people needs and thoughts. This is proven by the ever increasing percentage of people not expressing their right to vote. Mean while big city environments are often alienating and fearfully reducing people to solitude.

More over one of the main reasons for this phenomenon is that technology has successfully penetrated every aspect of modern existence but not so much the political aspect. As a direct result of this anomaly the modern day urbanized existence is not equally developed in all the spheres- the most obvious shortcoming is the social development of the modern day civilization.
What is it?
Internet and web based technologies have caused a drastic change in many aspects of the world as we know it. Socialization, the capitalist market and the flow of information have been deeply influenced.
Can communication technology be used as a tool for initiating a new social order which challenges the political and social establishments of the urbanized civilization, which so far is the only sphere not yet challenged by the evolution of technology and thus create a new dimension of viewing the contemporary existence.
Create a tool for the people to connect them by interest, 6 degrees of separation and social habits in order to create a sense of community even in a big urban metropolis where such an element is not so obvious. This is fundamental to give people a sense of awareness regarding their role in society and make them active citizens. Creating a virtual superimposed layer within the city powered by augmented reality technology, where information regarding the individual and political life would flow freely can address this problem successfully. In order to take social participation to the next level it is essential raising issues of common interest and judging and rating the government’s actions or inactions as a community which was formed in the virtual world but acts in the physical world.
This tool will act as a bridge between the virtual and physical aspects of the urban existence thereby merging them to a point where in they almost become indistinguishable and as a result complement each other thus enhancing a user’s existence.
Value & Potential
Developing a system of interaction made possible by web based technologies that weren’t existing when the actual politic system was born. A way to make people feel like active citizens and make them participate in their community life in order to get them involved and so more interested in the issues regarding their own existence.
