Nomadic Exhibitions
“Fondazione Valore Italia has committed itself to the development of a wide-breadth project. For the year 2012 it has set out to open a brand new museum of “Made in Italy”. The museum will be set up in Rome with the aim of better communicating the past successes and the present achievements of product research and development that is being carried out in Italy. The scope of the project is broad and it entails a set of different stages that ultimately will lead to the museum opening.”
Before the actual museum opening, the actors involved in this effort want to prepare a testbed for what will be featuring in the museum permanent exhibition. This intermediate stage involves a set of itinerant interactive pieces that will bring around the world a sort of “preview”” of the museum exhibition. Nomadic Exhibitions will have the mission to act as “appetizers” for the audience, introducing a new overview of “Made in Italy” that, without forgetting the past glories, will hopefully feed the debate and draw attention around the capacity to think, to design, to innovate in Italy.
The AIM of the project is to design an interactive piece that could work as a stand-alone communicative element, as well as an integrated part of a larger exhibition.
Massimo Banzi is the project leader and Renzo Giusti is the assistant. Claudio Moderini is the I-Design Advisor.
